| Renegades 17 Brigands 24 The top of the table clash between the Renegades and Brigands was switched to the Garrison as the Holders Hill pitch was not ready. The game was a nailbiting affair with the Renegades dominating the first half and the Brigands showing superior fitness, outpacing and out scoring the Renegades in the second half. The game was delayed due to the late arrival of key personnel but the Renegades were first to adapt to the fading light and from a line out in the Brigands 22m area K. Blumenshien stole the ball fed his threequarters where R. Paris fed inside to L. Barrow who raced over for an unconverted try. Renegades 5 Brigands 0. From the restart the Renegades forwards took the ball up field and released their speedy winger N. Ward who passed inside only to see the ball knocked on. From the the ensuing scrum the Renegades won it against the head and probed the Brigands defence and were unlucky not to score on several occasions. They were finally rewarded when L. Barrow broke through and despite a tremendous cover tackle by J. Lawrence the ball was moved wide for M. Leacock to score wide out. Renegades 10 Brigands 0.
